The pleasure of eating combined with its nutritive value is at the center of every meal. Rainforest recipes are flavorful and natural, supplying balanced energy throughout the day. The cuisine moves from the garden to the table in a matter of seconds, preserving the essence and vitality of the ingredients.

Gardening is the foundation of food. When you cultivate a garden, you see the miracle of growth each day, and taste the difference in every bite. Both a background in farming and a Bachelors of Culinary Nutrition from Johnson and Wales University contribute to my fresh and holistic philosophy. To become the best cook, you must grow what you eat. We are responsible for the fuel we feed our body and taking care of ourselves. The amount of chemicals and artificial substances in industrialized food today is actually sickening.Unfortunately, food masquerading as healthy and nutritious is often false advertising. Dietary claims do not provide essential information such as where or how or who produced our food. Volunteers are welcome to participate in the culinary program and develop this close connection to what we eat. Healthy Cuisine classes include harvest, preparation, and clean-up of daily meals. The following schedule is flexible.
- Breakfast and plan: 8 am – 9 am (After hour of morning work)
- Lunch and break: 12 pm -1 pm
- Dinner and wrap-up: 6 pm – 8 pm
Email belizebamboo@gmail with any questions you may have about the culinary program.

Adena and Sol,
So nice to see you at the restaurant. Congratulations on the wedding. It’s reassuring to see that such happiness is still possible on this planet.
Thanks for the great photo of the red sorrel. That’s where my name comes from, you know. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen it before.
The other pics are great as well. Looking forward to the next photos posted. Also looking forward to the new cuisine coming out of Belize. Alice Waters has some real competition now. GR
GARDEN SORREL…
