FOUR unique farms operated by Mike & Aida

Scott,  Ollie Natividad, Sol & Adena Tucker, and

Emma. Farms are located on major roads with

excellent bus connections so one can go from place to place.
Mike and Aida’s HIDDEN FALLS FARM, Mile 25,

Hummingbird Community, Stann Creek District is 28

miles from Belmopan. James Buses pass 12 times per

day.  Projects include gardening, beekeeping, making

jam, carpenter and tile work in new almost finished

house on rainy days, repair steps to 25 ft waterfall,

clean around teak trees, planting bananas, and other

trees.  There is a wooden woofer house with toilet ,

200 book in main house, and endless pineapples and

bananas for eating.  Woofers can cook their own meals

in the wwoofer house. Drinking is allowed.   Make

wine at the farm; lots of wines to sample.  On rainy

days, one can use shop equipment to make bee hive frames and wire them.
Mike says from past experience, “one might bring

walnuts (great in Banana muffins) or trail mix, extra

batteries, and purchase liquor at duty free shop after

debarking the plane at Belize Airport.”  One can also

take taxi to the city for $35. US or walk 1/2 mile from

airport to main highway and catch bus to Belize City

for $1. Then catch James Bus going to Belmopan,

Hummingbird Community, Dangriga, and south to

other farms.  Get off bus at mile 25 Hummingbird

Community for Hidden Falls.

Ollie and Sol make trips to Belize City and might

arrange to pick up folks at the airport.  E-mail ETA.

One might bring tent, and needs long pants, long

sleeve work shirts, light work shoes, and bug repellent.

Ollie’s farm is located near Hopkins on the sea.   He

has cattle, goats, and chickens, tropical trees, and  fish

pond.  Want to plant 1/2 acre garden. Garden is run by

Sol and Adena who manage the Parrot Inn Lodge near

Hopkins.  Lodge has swimming pool.  Sol and Adena

are planning a large container garden at the lodge.  Sol

takes trips to cayes for diving and fishing and might at

times have room on the boat for wwofers.

Emma, Aida,  and Ollie speak English, Spanish, and

Tagalog, Philippine language.  EMMA’S FARM has

huge garden area, over 2,000 fruit trees, and located

at Mile 17 Southern Highway, All Pines Road.   Farm

has 2,300 acres and is located on the sea; one can fish

with lines early AM and watch endless birds.  Emma

has bunk beds up stairs in the house.  She has two

Spanish speaking workers also, but needs wwofer help.
An excellent bug repellent is made of ratio 1:1 of baby

oil and Dettrol, a “liquid Anticeptic- Disinfecant for

First Aid, Medical, and Personal Hygiene uses.”  It

works great!
